Vehicle Impact Denver Case Study – June 2015

On Saturday, April 25, 2015 @ 6:22 AM, the Aurora Fire Department called on NuBilt to perform emergency shoring and boarding up of a Denver vehicle impact that devastated three single-family townhomes. Our project manager and after hours emergency crew were dispatched and responded in full force within the hour. When we arrived on scene, it was chaos. Debris, contents, you name it, was dispersed throughout the entire lawn and property line.

We knew we needed to act quickly to prevent further damage and address safety concerns, but also to provide a sense of empathy to the individuals involved.

It was a miracle that no one was injured, despite the fact that each homeowner was asleep at the time of the accident. We called in reinforcements from the NuBilt team to help coordinate living arrangements but moreover, to educate the property owners on what their next step would be in salvaging their possessions. While many of them were holding back tears and still in shock from the devastation, they were grateful to know that others were not hurt and that NuBilt was there to guide them in the right direction.

Emergency Restoration DenverWhile inspecting the damage caused by the vehicle impact, NuBilt took measures to be thorough – making sure all areas had been assessed. In the basement, water had seeped down to pool below, creating a situation for our Denver water mitigation experts to handle. If not discovered, the water damage from this occurrence would have presented major issues for the families later.

Without the incorporation of NuBilt’s mission statement: Simple, Fast, Fair, as well as communication and teamwork, we would not have been able to perform such a satisfactory job. Moreover, it was our mission to provide each homeowner with a sense of ease in such an uneasy situation.

As the days followed, the team worked alongside with each of the homeowners’ insurance carriers to help determine the quickest and most efficient way to bring the units back to pre-loss condition. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve our local community of Aurora, as well as the Front Range for the last 21 years.
